Connnecting online
Discussion listservs on media literacy education have been around for many years.
Newer web formats like Ning have spawned these and other meet-and-share websites related to media literacy education. Some are open to anyone, others are specfic to a school or program:
- Making Curriculum Pop - "a resource-sharing community for educators interested in better practices and teaching with pop culture."
- New Media Literacies Community, based at USC Annenberg School
- The CUE (Computer-Using Educators) Community
- Media Literacy. Discussions about media literacy and media education and how to teach it.
- Classroom 2.0, a community for educators using Web 2.0 and collaborative technologies
